Lord, deliver me from idleness of spirit, and from vain thoughts that hinder Thy presence and distract my attention in prayer. If, when I stand in prayer, I turn my thoughts from Thee, come to my aid that this distraction may not persist and that, in turning my spirit away, I may not turn my heart away from Thee.
